Yelling is now used as a rat-run for heavy goods vehicles and large vans. The traffic has increased four-fold and is causing mega-problems in the village.
The road approaching Toseland has a very dangerous corner at which I have personally witnessed seven accidents, one which was fatal.
It has always been a bad road for speeding on, but the massive increase in traffic has made it much worse. I always understood that a bypass was to ease traffic through villages, not to increase it.
Surely it would be cost-effective to put a weight limit in place and also some form of traffic calming.
