St Ives Photographic Club hosts the 23rd exhibition of its prestigious annual Interprint competition in the Free Church Centre, Market Hill. Some 240 images from all corners of the region will be exhibited, with artists competing for two major awards.
Organisers describe the exhibition as a special opportunity to see superb prints from East Anglia's best photographers, on display together in one local venue.
Eight-print entries from each of the 30 competing photographic clubs can be viewed by the public on Saturday (February 25). Judges will then decide on the top honours of best club entry, consisting of the highest aggregate score for the eight-print entry, and best individual print.
As well as the judges' awards, there will be other prizes. For the first time this year the St Ives club has gained patronage from the Royal Photographic Society, allowing RPS gold, silver and bronze awards to be presented to the top three prints.
Last year's winner was the monochrome print Fence Line at Therfield by Hugh Milsom MFIAP, of Ware and District Photographic Society.
