A LORRY driver escaped uninjured after his vehicle jack-knifed on the A14 blocking a lane of the carriageway.

One lane of the eastbound carriageway at Godmachester was closed to traffic following the accident, which took place at 9.30am on Wednesday (October 31).

It is believed the lorry caused damage to the railings of the bridge at Godmanchester as a result of the incident.
