A QUICK-witted pupil at Thorndown Junior School won £500 worth of Hobbycraft tokens for his fellow pupils.
Eight-year-old Owen Currie, who is in Year Four at the school, answered a quiz question correctly whilst watching Anglia News with his mum.
Staff and pupils at the school were delighted with the surprise gift and as a token of appreciation, Owen was presented with a Hobbycraft model of a Mercedes car to assemble.
The school put the money towards reusable craft materials such as scissors, cutters and water-colours pencils that were used on a special activity morning on Monday.
Deputy headteacher Mandy Scott said: "It was a wonderful surprise and the children are absolutely delighted with the extra craft materials."
