Yesterday, there was a severe frost in St Ives, a dusting of snow in Godmanchester but proper snow in Huntingdon...or was there?
The debate raged on until after the snow had melted: Had the district been snowed upon?
The crunch under foot said yes, national weather forecasters said no, it was a frost.
And this photograph taken in Godmanchester does not make it much clearer.
In Huntingdon, car windscreens were also covered with 'snow' centimetres thick.
In fact, snow is defined as a frozen precipitation in the form of white or translucent hexagonal ice crystals that fall in soft, white flakes.
