Hunts wind farm protest - not with my cash
I UNDERSTAND that the [Cotton Farm] wind farm protesters have requested 10,000 of Great Paxton Parish Council funds towards the cost of a legal team. Naturally, people have every right to object to the proposed wind farm, but to attempt to use taxpayers
I UNDERSTAND that the [Cotton Farm] wind farm protesters have requested 10,000 of Great Paxton Parish Council funds towards the cost of a legal team.
Naturally, people have every right to object to the proposed wind farm, but to attempt to use taxpayers' money to pay for a private scheme is outrageous.
This is money intended for the good of the village as a whole and should not be appropriated by a small minority.
If the objectors wish to hire legal expertise, they should pay for it themselves and not use council funds and, if the council has money to spare, it should be spent on village facilities.
