HUNTINGDON-trained gymnast Daniel Keatings finished 20th in the men's individual all-around Olympic final in Beijing.
The 18-year-old did well to reach the final of the competition, but was never expected to be amongst the medal winners.
At one stage he was up in third place after the vault round, but dropped back down the field in the next rounds and was 20th at the halfway stage (out of 24 gymnasts).
His performance on the pommel horse moved him up to 17th spot, but a fall on his dismount from the rings saw him marked down.
The Huntingdon Olympic Club gymnast, who lives in Corby, said he was now looking forward to London 2012.
Gold medal went to China's Yang Wei.
