MOTORISTS were being advised to avoid the centre of Huntingdon on Thursday evening (May 17) after part of the town bridge was blocked by a broken down bus.
Cambridgeshire police said at 5.30pm that a double decker bus had broken down near the Old Bridge Hotel.
Motorists were reporting long delays on surrounding roads during the evening rush hour.
Officers said they were looking at putting traffic controls in place to help ease the congestion but drivers were advised to avoid the area if at all possible.
