THE A141 Huntingdon bypass will be closed between 7pm and 6am every night next week while Cambridgeshire County Council’s contractors replace expansion joints and clean drainage channels in the bridge over the railway near Tesco.

Traffic will be diverted by way of Stukeley Road and St Peter’s Road for seven evenings and nights from Monday July 18 during the 18,000 work.

The council says the expansion joints have worn out and need replacing and the drainage system has to be cleaned on a regular basis to keep the road surface clear of water and to prevent damage to the bridge structure.
