CAMBRIDGE promoters Hope Street Music are revamping their schedules as they plan to give the musicians of the region further opportunities to demonstrate their worth.

Firstly, their popular entertainment evening, Eclectic, returns after a short break. Featuring poetry readings, dance acoustic music, DJ-ing and anything else they can book, the event runs at the Kudos Bar at Anglia Ruskin University, with the first of the new nights running on Tuesday, September 26.

Meanwhile, Hope Street is launching a new club night, called Rocker. Running every Thursday from September 21, also at Anglia Ruskin (East Road, Cambridge).

For this, touring bands will be on the bill with local unsigned talent, and guest DJs will take the crowds into the early hours of the morning.

Among those already confirmed to DJ are XFM's Eddy Temple-Morris, and Andy Rourke, bassist in The Smiths. See www.hopestreetmusic.net
