FOUR hooded youths punched a man in the face and attacked him with a broken bottle during a violent assault in Huntingdon.
The attack happened at 11.40pm on Saturday, July 29, when four youths approached a 38-year-old man in Ambury Road and asked him for a light for a cigarette.
The group then assaulted the man, striking him with the broken bottle across his chest and shoulders before fleeing. The man was treated at the scene for minor injuries by paramedics. Nothing was stolen during the incident.
Det Con Mark Cockerham said: "This was a violent and unprovoked attack and we need to find those responsible."

A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Constabulary said: "These types of attacks are very rare but we would ask people to walk with a friend or to stick to well-lit paths."
