ROADWORKS M1 northbound, junction 11A: technology maintenance Work to maintain technology assets on the M1 northbound at junction 11a takes place on Tuesday 27 November, with working hours of 9pm to 6am. During the work, there will be a hard shoulder closure and a full closure to the exit slip road. A clearly signed diversion route will be in place via junction 12. M11 junction 7 both directions: cable replacement Work to reinstate temporarily bypassed power and communications cables continues on Monday 26 November for one week. Lane one of both carriageways will be closed on the approaches and underneath junction 7 between 9pm and 5am. As a consequence of the works, the M11 junction 7 northbound slip road will be reduced to single lane running, also between 9pm and 5am. No diversions required.M40 junctions 1 to 15: routine maintenance Routine maintenance works include of slip roads and through junctions with two lanes. Works include sweeping, drainage cleaning, litter picking, vegetation cutting, white lining, street lighting maintenance, defect repair (including street lighting defects), inspection of the assets including structures and safety fence repair. These works will continue until late November, over subsequent nights from 8pm, with planned re-opening times 7am on weeknights and 8am on weekends.On Wednesday 28 November there will be a closure of the north and southbound carriageways from junction 9 diverge point with exit slip to Junction 9 merge point with entry slip.Diversion: Northbound road users will leave the M40 at junction 9 and travel around the roundabout to re-join the M40 on the entry slip. Southbound road users will do the reverse. On Thursday 29 November there will be a closure of the north and southbound exit and entry slip at junction 15 from diverge point with carriageway to the roundabout with A46/A429.Diversion: Northbound exit slip road users will continue along the M40 and bear left to join the M42 northbound. Leave the M42 at junction 4, travel around the roundabout to re-join the M42 southbound and then bear left to re-join the M40 southbound. Then travel southbound to leave at junction 15. Southbound entry slip road users will continue around junction 15 roundabout to join the M40 northbound and travel north and bear left to join the M42 northbound. Leave the M42 at junction 4, travel around the roundabout to re-join the M42 southbound and then bear left to re-join the M40 southbound. Then travel southbound to junction 15 On Friday 30 November there will be a closure of the northbound exit slip at junction 3 from diverge point with main carriageway to roundabout with A40/A4094. There is also a closure of the northbound entry slip at junction 1 from roundabout with A40/A412/A4020 to the merge point with main carriageway.Diversion: Exit slip road users will continue around Denham roundabout and join the A40 southbound and leave at Swakeleys Roundabout exit. Travel around the roundabout and join the A40 northbound to join the M40 at junction 1. Entry slip road users will continue to travel northbound along the M40 and leave at junction 4. Turn right at the roundabout onto the A404 to High Wycombe. Continue on the A404 until the roundabout with A40 is reached and turn right onto the A40 to return to junction 3. A1/A428 junction at Wyboston: bridge repairs Work to repair the flyover at this junction continues this week. On Tuesday 27 November there will be a full closure of the A428 westbound slip road to the northbound A1 from 9pm to 6am, with a short diversion via the A1 southbound to the Black Cat roundabout to join the A1 northbound.A14 junctions 55 to 58, Ipswich: road marking renewal Work to improve road user safety by renewing the road markings takes place this week. The eastbound carriageway will be closed between junctions 55 and 58 between 9pm and 5am on Monday night with a signed diversion via the A12 and A1214.CLOSURES A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire: major improvements Construction work on the new A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon scheme is under way.
