A FILM producer and historian has created a spectacular DVD of the Little Gransden Air Show to raise money for charity.

Historian Chris Cannon, 56, pictured, has been producing films of Cambridgeshire for many years, including films of Ramsey Rural Museum, the Haddenham Steam Rally and aircraft from RAF Wyton.

Mr Cannon, of Woodhurst, said: "The film is a fascinating insight into this popular air show which attracts thousands of visitors every year."

Proceeds from the sale of the DVD, which is being released in time for Christmas, will go to Children In Need as well as local charities.

The hour-long film includes footage of Tiger Moths, Spitfires and Lancaster aircraft as well as interviews with some of the country's top display pilots.

Also included is an interview with a police helicopter pilot and a chance to see the classic cars, tractors and motorcycles that attend the event.

Mr Cannon added: "There are lots of interesting shots of aircraft in flight and some unusual close-up camera angles."

INFORMATION: The DVD, priced £9.99, will be available in Huntingdon at Jayes newsagents and the post office; in St Ives at Whateleys newsagents; at Histon and Earith post offices, at Steward's Hardware in Warboys and Warboys Pet Supplies.
