A NURSE at Hinchingbrooke Hospital has pleaded guilty to a charge of death by dangerous driving. She could now face a prison sentence. Lisa Rodriguez, 35, who lives in Alexandra House, the staff accommodation at Hinchingbrooke, changed her plea to guilty at Peterborough Crown Court. She had previously denied causing the death of an elderly woman, Rose Ward, 73, from Brampton. The collision was on the B1043 near Sawtry on April 30 last year. Mrs Ward was a passenger in a Rover car driven by her husband. Rodriguez was driving in the opposite direction, with a passenger and was turning into a service area to do some shopping when she collided with the oncoming car, the court heard. Mrs Ward, who had been in poor health, died in hospital three days later. Rodriguez will be sentenced in July.
