A VISITING scheme run by Age Concern needs more volunteers to spend time with an elderly person for about an hour a week.
The scheme, which has been running for 15 years, aims to stop elderly people feeling lonely and isolated.
The charity says the number of people referred to it has nearly doubled in the past few years. It is looking for volunteers in St Ives, St Neots, Buckden and Ramsey areas. Two references and a Criminal Records Bureau check will be required
