ST NEOTS residents will be asked to help shape the final design of a new £3.5million pedestrian and cycle bridge across the Great Ouse.

Exhibitions of the bridge and paths leading to it are being held at the Priory Centre on Monday from 3.30pm to 6.30pm on Monday and at St Neots Community College on Tuesday between 3.30pm and 5.30pm.

Cycling charity Sustans is contributing £600,000 towards the cost, most of which will be funded by Cambridgeshire County and Huntingdonshire District Councils, with contributions from developers.

County Councillor Matt Bradney, cabinet member for transport said: "Following extensive environmental research, including flood analysis, we are now at an advanced planning stage for the new foot and cycle bridge. The exhibitions are an ideal way of sharing these plans with people from the area.
