ST Neots police are on the look out for tortoise thief after one went missing from the garden of a family home.
Forty-seven-year-old Albie the tortoise was last seen at 7.30pm on Saturday June 9 in the garden of a property in Musgrave Way, St Neots. His owners noticed he had been taken at 10.30am the following day.
Albie is described as having a chipped shell.
Pc Neil English, who is investigating said: "Albie's owners have been left distressed by this theft and I would appeal to anyone who has any information about his whereabouts to contact me.
"Were you in the Musgrave Way area overnight on Saturday? Did you see anyone hanging around acting suspiciously?
"Any information, no matter how small, could prove invaluable in tracing Albie."
