I WOULD like to say thank you to all whose efforts went into making the "Unity in the Community event" so successful.
It was an exciting, colourful, music-filled day of true cultural unity and an inspiration to all those who attended the event. Thanks go to Ann-Marie Waterston and her team of helpers, the parking attendants, management and staff of the facilities used and all the groups, associations and partners, not to forget the catering staff who I know worked all day without a break.
At the Maple Centre, where "foods from around the world" was the feature, we were all treated to an extravaganza of culinary delights, and finally to all those members of the community young and old who came and joined in the event a very big thank-you.
ALAN MACKENDER-LAWRENCE, Huntingdon Town Council
