Skipping ropes, bats, balls and bean bags have been given to the Eaton Socon Brownies after they collected nearly 4,000 Tesco vouchers.

Rainbows, Brownies, members of St Mary's Church in Eaton Socon and Tesco Express all helped to collect the vouchers. The District commissioner for Eaton Socon District Guides Association, Iris Slade, said: "The girls were really enthusiastic and the thought of getting some exciting new sports equipment really appealed to them. With the help of other groups we managed to collect more equipment than we ever thought we would be able to get, let alone afford."

The vouchers were collected under the Sport for School and Clubs vouchers scheme launched by Tesco last September. Picture: SUPPLIED
