I HAVE twice been overtaken by hunger while visiting Huntingdon in the past few weeks and been terribly disappointed trying to find the right place for a meal.

Our first attempt saw us handed a cold baked potato and a sandwich that was spoiled by a coating of balsamic vinegar. We then tried a coffee shop where we waited in a queue for 15 minutes while the staff made wretched attempts to get the coffee machines to work.

We went across the road where we were offered croque monsieur that no Parisian would have acknowledged.

Perhaps one of your readers could suggest a place - other than the Old Bridge - where we can obtain a quality snack the next time hunger strikes.
