I SUPPORT the introduction of speed monitoring cameras on the A14. From experience, this technique appears to be the only reliable means of controlling speed over an extensive section of highway.
However, too many speed-calming measures needlessly operate on a 24/7 basis (eg speed humps outside schools). Please might the A14 system be responsive to traffic flow and permit travel at 70mph when conditions allow?
