STAFF from Wood Green Animal Shelters have been helping dogs affected by flooding in Gloucestershire.
The Godmanchester-based shelter received an appeal from a dogs home in Gloucestershire, asking for help housing dogs temporarily while homes were evacuated.
Wood Green staff travelled to Cheltenham Animal Shelter, collecting five dogs looking for homes.
Dennis Baker, chief executive of Wood Green Animal Shelters, said: "We are delighted that we have been able to help with this terrible situation, as soon as we received the call for help we put plans into action.
"So many animals have been affected by the floods and Wood Green will continue to help in any way possible and we are on standby to take in more if needed.
