A MAN grabbed a teenage girl and tried to pull her into bushes during a daylight attack in St Neots.

The 17-year-old girl had been walking along the Duloe Brook footpath in Edinburgh Drive, Eaton Socon, at 12.30pm on Sunday, January 13, when she noticed she was being followed.

Police said she was then grabbed by a man but managed to break free and run to safety.

The man is described as of mixed race, slim, 5ft 11in tall, with short black curly hair. He was wearing dark denim jeans with a dark tracksuit top with a graffiti style print on the front.

Dc Rebecca Mainwood, investigating, said: "This was a frightening incident for the girl and I would ask anyone who believes they may know the person responsible to come forward."
