CULT jazz hero, Gilad Atzmon and his band The Orient House Ensemble play Romsey Labour Club in Cambridge on Monday, November 19.
Atzmon has a reputation for amazing his listeners with his powerful personal style that combines great bebop artistry with music of the Middle East, North Africa and Eastern Europe. As well as his highly regarded solo projects, the saxophonist is also much in demand as a session musician, with his regular work with The Blockheads showcasing his talents. His latest solo effort, Refugee, is a tribute to Charlie Parker, and as well as playing songs from the release, Atzmon will be talking about Parker's life and music.
