TO many, The Dawn Parade were the band "most likely to" from the Cambridge music scene.
Having been critically lauded in magazines such as Rolling Stone, as well as extensive radio airplay (notably on The John Peel show), the combination of powerful songwriting and an impeccable stage presence won them a mass of adoring fans.
Sadly, the band split in late 2006, with a string of achievements many unsigned acts could only dream of.
Now their singer/songwriter Greg McDonald is returning to the scene as a solo artist. Performing acoustically, McDonald will play The Cambridge Barfly (above The Graduate, Chesterton Road, Cambridge) on Saturday night (January 12) supporting Martin Stephenson.
Tickets are £10 from 0844 8472424.
