I CANNOT see how the new proposed scheme will slow the traffic down that use the A141. In fact, I think it will enable traffic to go even faster.

At present, I usually travel along there at between 55mph to 60mph, and more often than not I am overtaken by vehicles going a lot faster than 60mph.

I would have thought that a mini-roundabout would have been a far better idea to slow the traffic and still allow vehicles to enter and leave the junction - similar to what was done in Brampton at the T-junction of Grove Lane and the B1514.

Perhaps make it a little bigger than a mini-roundabout then pedestrians could wait in the middle while crossing over.

So it will hold up the traffic while it is being built no more than we had to put up with when the bus lane was being built in Huntingdon.
