ST NEOTS Community College saw the number of students gaining five or more A*-C grades reach its highest level in seven years. Forty per cent of students achieved the higher grades and the year group was the first to have completed their two-year GCSE courses since the college was awarded specialist status.

Principal Mark Duke said: "We're very pleased with our improving GCSE results. It's encouraging to note our results have exceeded national predictions and also that there has been an improvement in our boys' performance. These exam results demonstrate the impact that specialist status has had on our college. They are one of the first steps in our plans that will ensure further improvements in the years to come.
