SAXONGATE Community Learning Centre is open to the people of Huntingdonshire on Saturday.

Organisers hope that the event will give everyone in the area a chance to examine the facilities and services on offer at the new building, which is operated by the Papworth Trust.

Visitors will be able to learn more about community services and Huntingdonshire Regional College courses, as well as take part in a variety of taster sessions.

Meditation, digital photography, pilates, watercolour painting, jewellery making and even acupuncture will be on offer during the course of the day.

The final of the Junior Chef of the Year, organised by The Hunts Post, will also take place.

The open day will host the first day of the Huntingdonshire Food and Drink Festival, which will showcase the diversity of food and drink produced and sold in the area.
