FIREWORKS rounded off a day of entertainment in Ramsey on Saturday to mark the switching on of the town's Christmas lights.

There was entertainment in The Great Whyte all day and the evening included the arrival of Father Christmas who gave out sweets to children, clown dancers from Ramsey Spinning Infants and Molly dancers from Ramsey Junior School.

The lights were turned on by Shailesh Vara, the MP for North West Cambridgeshire and Olivia Bass aged 10, one of Ramsey Juniors' Molly dancers.
