AN imaginative way of raising money has meant students at a St Ives school have collected £1,000 to help a fellow pupil who has cancer.

Year 10 pupils at St Ivo School took to the playing field to hold up white and blue cards spelling out TCT (Teenage Cancer Trust).

An aeroplane was specially commissioned to fly over and take photos.

Cambridgeshire based businesses Beamglow and West End donated the card and paint.
