IT is with dismay that I learned of the withdrawal of funding for the Huntingdon branch of the Alzheimer's Carers Support Group, which could well lead to the closure of this facility.

For members such as myself, who have benefited from advice and back-up from these dedicated people, the loss would be devastating. Their "listening ear" aids better understanding of this insidious disease, which takes away the partner/parent/friend who has shared our lives. Surely, somewhere, somehow, enough money could be found to keep this necessary and worthwhile help continuing.
