A COUNCIL-run fitness centre raised more than £1,500 for the Saxongate appeal through a series of events, including a charity ball.
Impressions Fitness Suites - operated by Huntingdonshire District Council - raised the bulk of the £1,730 donation in its May ball event with a charity auction.
The Saxongate Community Learning Centre in Huntingdon opened in September and provides an active space for people with learning difficulties where there are opportunities for education and skills development, as well as social and leisure pursuits.
