A TOTAL of £1,730 is to be donated to the Saxongate Community Learning Centre from Impressions Fitness Suite after they held a May ball.
The money has been raised by the efforts of the staff who work at the leisure centre, which is managed by Huntingdonshire District Council.
The May ball featured a charity auction with prizes including West Ham football tickets, including the chance to meet the players for a drink after the game, Robbie Williams concert tickets, and a professional photographer session.
The centre opened in September 2006, offering opportunities for education and skills development in the heart of Huntingdon.
Mandy Baxter, senior development officer for the Papworth Trust, which runs the centre, said: "We are delighted to receive the donation from Impressions Fitness Suite in Huntingdon, it is a great testament to such a successful event.
