RAIN did not stop the music at Needingworth Festival at the weekend. Taking place in a massive marquee on the playing fields in Overcote Lane, the two days were so successful that the marquee has already been booked for next year and at least eight of the bands have asked the organisers if they can play at the 2008 event.
Organiser, Tony Anderson said: "We are not sure how much we raised or exactly how many people came but there were probably about 900 visitors over the two days."
Family events were also organised by Needingworth Pre-School, including football, lucky dip, face-painting, a bouncy castle, stalls and non-alcoholic cocktails for children.
This was the 10th year of the festival which raises money for Needingworth Village Hall.
