POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a burglary and attempted burglary in Fenstanton.
Both crimes took place in Swan Gardens on Friday, January 29 and officers would like to speak to anyone in the area between 1.30pm and 8.45pm that day.
During the attempted burglary, offenders tried to break in to a house via the rear garden. They were successful in a second incident where jewellery was stolen.
DC Andrew Gaunt-Warner said: "I would like to speak to anyone who can recall seeing or hearing anything suspicious in Swan Gardens that afternoon, particularly around 6.40pm.
"Perhaps someone was looking round the back of homes, or walking along the street paying particular attention to each house?
"Please contact me with any information."
