A RETIRED man said he has had his faith in mankind restored after he dropped an envelope containing hundreds of pounds in Euros...only for it to be returned. William Goodge, from Huntingdon, had withdrawn 600Euros (about £440) from his savings account just before Christmas to spend while on holiday visiting his son in Germany. But by the time he had returned to his home in Bevan Close, the money was missing. The following day, the man retraced his steps and remembered that he had met his wife in Sainsbury's in Huntingdon. When he asked the customer service desk if anything had been handed in, the Sainsbury's worker presented him the envelope stuffed with Euros.
