SEVENTY thousand pounds is available for community groups in Eynesbury at a special event taking place on Wednesday (August 26).

The Voice Your Choice Event is being launched by the Eynesbury Neighbourhood Management Advisory Group (ENMAG) with Luminus, Cambridgeshire County Council and Huntingdonshire District Council.

They have £70,000 for community and statutory groups based in Eynesbury or working for the benefit of Eynesbury residents.

Groups can apply for between £250 and £7,500 for projects that will tackle areas such as employment, education, skills and training, reducing crime and anti-social behaviour, improving transport and mobility, enhancing the environment and community empowerment.

INFORMATION: An ideas event will be held on Wednesday at The Post 16 Centre, St Neots Community College between 3pm and 8pm for groups to find out more about the grants available, the application process and any other assistance required to submit a bid.

This will be followed by a decision day, which will take place on Saturday, October 3, at St Neots Community College. This will run from 11am until 2pm and will allow Eynesbury residents to decide which groups will receive funding and how much they will receive.
