A SIX-month project exploring the history of Ramsey begins on Saturday.
The Ramsey A-Z project is being funded by a Heritage Lottery Fund grant and managed by Huntingdon District Council's arts services, who are looking for people to take part in the project.
The project is being led by community artist Ricki Outis. Everyone involved will get the chance to contribute to making a piece of art based on the heritage theme that will be displayed in the town next spring.
There is an opportunity to meet Ricki and the arts service team to find out more about the project at the Ramsey Information Centre on Great Whyte on Saturday between 10am and 2pm.
Visitors will be able to try their hand at screen-printing a cotton shopping bag with a heritage image. All ages are welcome.
INFORMATION: The Local Heritage Initiative is a national grant scheme that helps local groups investigate, explain and care for their local landscapes, landmarks, traditions and culture.
