A CHILD was seriously injured in a car accident on the A14 at Spaldwick on Saturday (June 28). A Vauxhall Safia carrying five people crashed on the eastbound carriageway shortly after 6pm. Police said that no other vehicles were involved in the incident.

A Vauxhall Safia carrying five people crashed on the eastbound carriageway shortly after 6pm. Police said that no other vehicles were involved in the incident.
One of the passengers, an 11-year-old, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.
The driver, a 35-year-old man from Wolverhampton, and the other passengers suffered slight injuries and were taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Huntingdon.
Investigating officer Pc Paul Symonds said: "I am appealing for any witnesses of this incident to come forward."
