Eleven cars and two homes were sprayed with graffiti in one night during a "despicable" crime spree.

SNP was written in spray paint across cars and homes in Eynesbury overnight on Saturday, March 1. Police believe SNP stands for 'St Neots Posse'.

Some cars had other expletives scrawled across them in green, red and grey spray paints.

In Ridgeway, the rear windscreen and number plate of a silver Vauxhall Zafira was sprayed with graffiti. A short walk away in Mountford Close a white Ford Mondeo had SNP sprayed onto the bonnet. In Whitehall Walk graffiti was sprayed onto a white Transit van and in Eayre Court red spray paint was used to write SNP across a white Citroen Saxo.

Inspector Mark Woolner said the damage was something the St Neots policing team was taking very seriously.

He said: "These crimes are despicable. A significant amount of damage has been caused in what appears to be one night's crime spree around the areas of Musgrave Way, Eayre Court, Whitehall Walk and Ridgeway.

"Residents woke on Sunday to find hundreds of pounds worth of damage not to mention the upset and inconvenience that mindless crimes like this cause the victims.

"This is unacceptable and the team will be doing all they can to track these offenders down.

"These offenders will have to have bought their spray paint from somewhere, and someone may know something about this.

"Parents, it is important that you know where your children area and what they are doing. We can't allow people to get away with these crimes.
