I URGE others who live in the Owl Way area of Hartford to contest the plans to introduce speed cushions along the length of Owl Way.
Although it is good to see the council responding to concerns over speeding traffic, introducing no fewer than nine speed humps along a road just a half-mile in length seems a disproportionate measure, penalising those of us who live in the area because of a few rogue motorists who choose to speed down a residential road.
Surely having a policeman turn up once in a while to catch and fine the culprits directly would be more effective, rather than consigning those of us who live in the area to speed bump hell?
