A WOMAN driver escaped with only slight injuries this morning (Wednesday) after her car hit an electricity pylon and turned over.

The incident was in Warboys on the B1040 Road near the Warboys roundabout.

A police spokesman told The Hunts Post that officers were called at 7.35am after the car rolled off the road. The woman was found trying to get out of the Toyota Rav4, mini 4x4 car which was on its roof. She did manage to get out and walked away with only slight injuries.

A second vehicle is believed to have been involved, a red Toyota Yaris.

Police closed the A141 road near the scene in both directions while the accident was investigated.
