A new platform lift has been installed making it possible for the first time for visitors with limited mobility to be able to access the chamber for town council meetings.
Town clerk Alison Melnyczuk said: "I am pleased that the town council is now able to welcome all sections of the community into the building to take part in local democracy at work."
St Ives Access Group, which helped with the design process of converting the building, has awarded the hall an "Approval Decal" to display - the recognised symbol that building is accessible to all
