Slow moving traffic is expected on the A14 between Godmanchster and the Spittals interchange due to an overturned trailer.
According to Cambridgeshire police the trailer had jacknifed and struck the central reservation on the eastbound carriageway.
Delays are currently building on approach with tailbacks reaching Fenstanton.
A spokesman for Cambridgeshire police said that the matter is being dealt with by Highways England.
The spokesman said: “We were called at 2.26pm to reports of a Land Rover and trailer jack-knifed on the A14 westbound at junction 23.”
Hunts Police tweeted: “Delays on A14 westbound carriageway at Godmanchester due to one vehicle RTC. Please expect delays in the area. Recovery en route.”
