CHILDREN at Buckden School had a Roald Dahl day dressing up as characters from his books or in yellow, the author's favourite colour.
Throughout the day, they cooked revolting recipes, drew in the style of Quentin Blake, who illustrated Dahl's books and produced some creative writing. They focussed on Dahl favourites, including the BFG, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Fantastic Mr Fox. Teachers took part, too, with costumes including Matilda and The Twits.
