A WOMAN who died after being knocked off her bicycle by a lorry has been named by police. The woman is 32-year-old Melanie Burton, of Arran Way, St Ives. The incident happened at 8.15am on Friday morning (September 14) at the junction of Houghton Road and Hill Rise.

The incident happened at 8.15am on Friday morning (September 14) at the junction of Houghton Road and Hill Rise.

Houghton Road remained closed until shortly after 11am while police investigated the scene of the accident.

Officers are keen to speak to the driver of a black car that was travelling behind the lorry involved in the collision.
