A YOUNG boy has been injured when he was knocked off his bike by a car in Huntingdon.

Police were called at 4.05pm on Friday (October 17) to reports of a collision between a red Ford Kia and an 11-year-old boy on a bicycle on Riverside Road near the junction with the mediaeval bridge to Godmanchester.

The extent of the boy's injuries is not yet known. Speaking to The Hunts Post just half an hour after the incident, a spokesman for Cambridgeshire police, said: "The boy is conscious and breathing."
