DRIVERS were stuck in traffic queues on the A14 during the Monday morning rush-hour after a van tipped over and a lorry broke down.
A police spokesman said they were called at 7.15am to reports that a lorry carrying 25 tonnes of steel had broken down near the Spittals roundabout.
A few moments later - and just yards away - a blue Ford Ranger van overturned.
No one was believed to have been injured.
Although the road remained open, motorists travelling on the eastbound carriageway of the A14 faced delays between Alconbury and Spittals while the vehicles were recovered.
