A Huntingdon estate agency has been recognised as the county’s most active property agent for its high rate of deals completed.
Barker Storey Matthews, based in High Street, was awarded the accolade of Most Active Agent by commercial property research specialists EGi.
It is the seventh year the company has won the competition which is open to all agents, including national firms, which complete deals in Cambridgeshire.
Steve Hawkins, managing director, said: “We have a strong team of 20 agents who serve Cambridgeshire from three key business locations in the county and our wider eastern region offering is complemented by our office in Bury St Edmunds.
“Yet it’s not presence alone which counts when it comes to the ongoing activity of agents in securing instructions, negotiating deals and completing transactions year after year.
“Activities on behalf of our clients are based not only on our up-to-date knowledge of the forces at play in the regional property scene and its local micro-markets at any given point in the business cycle, but also years of on-the-ground property agency experience in each of the prime commercial locations in which we operate,” Mr Hawkins added.
The competition is judged on the volume of completed deals, both sales and lettings, across the range of commercial property sub-sectors including industrial, office, retail, investment and leisure.
In March, the company was also awarded the Most Active Agent in the East of England in the national version of the competition.
