WARBOYS parish councillors have appealed for warning and speed limit signs to be put up along Puddock Road in the village. The call to Cambridgeshire County Council came after a meeting of the council was shown pictures of a heavy vehicle which had overturned before Christmas and noted what they termed the "dangerously uneven surface" and the "hazards that this presented to unwary drivers." Police also reported that one of their vehicles had been damaged along Puddock Road while responding to an emergency. Parish councillors were told a scheme to improve safety for motorists along Puddock Road was part of Shire Hall's draft repairs and renewals programme, but would have to compete against other highway projects in the county. Members resolved to remind the county council of what they termed the "dangerous condition" of Puddock Road and request the safety improvements.
